Over 40 years RED Architecture & Interior Design has delivered path breaking and award winning works across India. Their acumen in selection of appropriate materials, an eye for intricate details, and a mind that opens up to the timeless possibilities of design, has been honed for generations.

Arch. Ramesh Edwankar, founder of RED Architecture & Interior Design gained valuable experience, observing his father’s execution process in producing outstanding quality furniture. There his imagination opened up to new frontiers of excellence that served him in his later years to produce not just architectural beauties but absolute works of art. After setting up offices in Bombay in 1973 and in Pune in 2001, RED has won accolades for producing work that’s ahead of its times, setting trends that even with the passage of years never look outdated.

Today the Company has continuous projects in Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad where it specializes in architecture and interiors for offices, high-end residential projects and public spaces. For RED it’s an eternal quest of excellence where no design is ever repeated, and each piece of work stands out as a beacon in the world of architecture and interior design.

RED Architecture & Interior Design strongly believes in doing research-oriented work. Before the preparation and release of any drawings a thorough study of the detailed requirement, personality, business acumen, lifestyle, habit and psychology of the client is done. A comprehensive checklist is then drawn out, so that they are in a position to check at every point, taking care of even the minutest details.

A lot of time and money is invested for education and up gradation by visiting trade fairs, industry conferences, and by being in constant touch with international designers and manufacturers all across the world.

Value is added at each and every stage, and the wastage incurred is very negligible as compared to the industry average of 22%. Strong commitment towards deadlines and transparency towards client, vendors and agencies ensures every project is delivered on time, while adhering to strict quality control.

Besides every design they do is aligned to Vastu concepts.

Ramesh EdwankarChief Architect

  • Born on July 4, 1944
  • Worked with eminent architect and Interior Designer Mr V.S. Gore from 1968 to 1973
  • Developed acumen for perfect scientific workmanship and material selection in his early years
  • Set up a partnership firm at Nasik in 1969
  • Set up office at Bombay in 1973 and Pune in 2001
  • Awarded Prizes in All India Competitions conducted by the Indian Institute of Interior Designers continuously for three consecutive years in the High Cost Category.

  • Has completed various Architectural Projects, both Residential and Commercial
  • Has accomplished Interior Design Projects spanning Residences, Commercial Spaces and Hospitality
  • Conceived Product Designs across Carpets, Furniture, Light Fittings and Designs for small business entrepreneurs & enterprises
  • Holds two Design patents recognized in 130 countries issued by the patent office, certificate of registration of Design by Government of India in the year 2010 & 2011
  • Initiated Interactive Art Installations that are responding to Humans with Audio Vide, Motion Sensors, Lighting and Technology

Pratik EdwankarDirector

  • Born on January 21st, 1983
  • Graduated in master of commerce from Mumbai
  • Started EDW in 2009, focusing on contemporary furniture, paintings, and sculptures from India, Europe and China.
  • EDWs first store was set up in Mumbai. Second to come up in Pune.
  • In 2018 intro was launched. A website promoting original designs in small sizes and price points affordable to all.

Bhalchandra SamelSenior Architect

  • Born 19th September 1942
  • Completed Diploma in Architecture in 1967 from Mumbai University
  • Working with Red Architects & Interior Design as an Associate Architect from 1990 till date
  • Working with Key Designs as a consultant from 2007 till date
  • Worked with Structural Engineering: A.R. Khatkhate as an Associate Architect from 1984 to 1989
  • Proved his excellence as a private practitioner since 1982 till date
  • Worked with V. S. Gore & Associates as an Architectural Assistant from 1968 to 1975
  • Worked with Amir Ali Jairazdhoy as an Architectural Assistant from 1967 to 1968
  • Member of Council of Architecture since 1983
  • Core strength lies in architectural design and conceiving interiors

Pramod KodeSenior Associate

  • Born on 25th August 1964
  • Passed Draughtsman’s Diploma Course with distinction
  • Currently working with RED Architects & Interior Design since February 1995
  • Worked with Tata Electric House as a draughtsman for 2 years perfecting civil drawings
  • Worked with a Pharma company as a draughtsman for 4 years doing mechanical drawings
  • Worked with Premiere Automobiles, Wadala foundry mastering automobile drawings
  • Core strength lies in working on high end interiors that include, offices, residential premises, bungalows, hotels, and factories

Shailendra SukthankerSite Co-ordinator

  • Born on February 8, 1964
  • Involved in entire electrical selection and fixture purchases.
  • Co-ordinates from inception to the completion of interior design projects.
  • Visits local as well as foreign markets for availability of light fittings, sanitary fittings.
  • Executes turn key jobs and contracting for interiors.
  • Has experience of 15+ years in the field of interior.
